Take a Hike!

Cornelia is a great starting place for your north Georgia hiking adventure! For the casual hiker, there is a paved walking trail through Cornelia City Park that lights up with blooms in the spring. Looking for something a bit more strenuous? The Rhododendron Trail from Chenocetah Tower winds its way down the mountain to end at Lake Russell. Surrounded by beautiful rhododendrons, this trail is spectacular in the spring but is also home to stunning mountain views and fall colors during the rest of the year. From April to November, Chenocetah Tower is open Saturday mornings to visitors who want to climb to the top to look out over the mountains.
